Welcome
to our newly redesigned site!
It's
official! Welcome to the new look for the Tuskegee Airmen
International Hubert L. "Hooks" Jones chapter web site.
For those of you who have not heard The Story, these are the men of the
all-black fighter and bomber squadrons of World War II - collectively
known as the Tuskegee Airmen. |

Originally started
as an experiment to see if black men could fly, this group of pilots
became one of the most feared in the European theatre. Their military
service record speaks for itself. Even then, the US military (then
the Army Air Corps) failed to recognize them. To this day little
has been done to make up for this failure, and their story has only
recently started to be heard by the masses.
Today, Tuskegee Airmen International is a service organization promoting
aviation and aerospace to those who might not otherwise have the
opportunity. We continue to tell The Story. There is still much
work to be done.
The goal of this site is to tell "The Story" and provide
you with news and information on TAI members of today, what we're
doing, how you can participate and even become one of us!
We hope you like our new look. There's lots to see and much more coming very
soon. We have added many new pages and the content is still forthcoming,
but we're well on our way to our goal of being the best TAI site
on the Web. |
